Own development, production, and design....
Production
Are you curious about how our products are made? In our hall, you can walk through the entire production process with us. We have everything in an area of about 1200m2. From the timber warehouse to the carpentry workshop, the workshop with our Bob – a computer-controlled machining center, the grinding room, oiling room, and assembly. The product travels approximately 80 meters through the entire hall before it reaches its final destination – the showroom, which is connected to a café.
We are a Czech family business, and we also like to support Czech companies. That’s why we decided to rely on Czech brands when building and equipping our production space
Design
From the beginning of our company, we have been working with designer Petr Šebela, who has become our main designer at SITUS. All of our products share the same spirit – even though they differ in shape, they are the same in essence. It is natural for us that our products must look good, have ergonomics, functionality, and utility value – the common thread is a sense of detail. We always follow a path where we aim to create a product or interior accessory that we personally like and would place in our own home.

"Through designing, I shape myself."
I am guided by admiration for the beauty and nobility of wood, respect for craftsmanship, and love and responsibility for the Earth. I am inspired by the holistic approach of previous generations, their intuitive ability to create simple, beautiful, and profoundly true things. When designing, I make sure that there is room in the production process for hand-finishing and perfectly crafted details. The result is always an original. It is the opposite of mass-produced, uniform manufacturing that surrounds us everywhere.

We are also open to collaborating with foreign designers...
In 2013, we met German designer Philipp Von Hase at the London Design Fair, whose life is fascinating. He grew up in Berlin, his father lived in Italy, and he himself lives and creates in Bergen, Norway, which is considered the cradle of art and design. For several years, we have been producing small-batch solid wood products for him. His philosophy is to create works of art for everyday use. He always strives to incorporate several functional aspects into his designs. All with the utmost respect for nature and materials
Currently, we are producing the Omera, Trialog, and Gaia products for Philipp. We are also working on the development of new products such as Stable and Doppio.
